Who needs Cupid to deliver on Valentine’s Day when you have DoorDash

DoorDash is well renowned on social media for its thumb-stopping influencer content. From partnering with an influencer who created tiny DoorDash designs on her fingernails, to a snail delivering a DoorDash order – this brand certainly knows how to captivate an audience.

For Valentine’s Day 2024, DoorDash wanted everyone everywhere to buy flowers for their loved ones, and have them delivered straight to their doors using their service.

Valentine's Day was the perfect opportunity for DoorDash to collaborate with influencers to spread the word that not only do they facilitate deliveries for popular restaurants, but they can deliver a multitude of other goods too.

Stop the scroll with an impactful message

If you want to stop scrollers in their tracks during a mindless social media browsing session, your content needs to have a hook and a message that your target audience can empathize with.

The overarching message shared through DoorDash’s Valentine's influencer content was around gifting men flowers. Influencers let their audiences know that most men only receive flowers at their funerals – a shocking fact that stropped scrollers in their tracks, encouraging them to take action.

Influencers captured the sincere reactions of the partners who wouldn’t typically expect to receive flowers, showcasing how easy it is to order flowers directly to your door at the click of a button with DoorDash.

And the blooms were certainly beautiful!

Want to learn more about how your brand can stop the scroll with influencer content? Our CEO Jenny Quigley-Jones will be joined by Senior Director, Content Marketing & Social Media at DoorDash Nicole Sia, and Influencer Michelle Amoré at SXSW to unpack the intricacies of creating thumb-stopping content.
