What’s Hot On Socials? AI Kids, Throwing Fits & Goodbye Gen Z

AI tools are maturing, and creators are throwing fits!

Meet your AI children

LLM’s like ChatGPT are maturing by the minute, meaning there are endless opportunities to test and learn.

Many marketers have adopted AI tools to streamline processes, aid copywriting, and visualize ideas – but there’s lots of fun, lighthearted experimentation happening too.

The latest ChatGPT image generation is giving users a taste of just how realistic the output can be – albeit slightly uncanny.

Have you ever imagined what you and your partners' children will look like, specifically an off-the-cuff family selfie? Audiences across social media are comparing results.

As well as finding joy in discovering what our own children may look like, creators are building on their parasocial relationships with influencers and celebrities by creating AI children of their favorite talent.

Generating the offspring of Love Island couples is a popular theme, now that the US series winners have been announced and the UK series draws to a close…

And now we know what Taylor Swift and Harry Styles’ toddler would look like if their love lasted…

When you Google search “ChatGPT AI children”, the OpenAI app presents you with a full catalogue of prompts to lay out the entire future of your offspring…

Brands can jump on this trend by creating playful AI-generated content, like imagining the “future” of their products or collaborations with influencers, that invites fans to engage, share, and spark conversations based on curiosity and fun.

Throwing a fit

The fashionistas of social media are throwing fits, but they’re not angry…

This trend is inspired by a play on words, using “fit” as an abbreviation for outfit, and swapping it into a phrase that insinuates throwing a tantrum.

When audiences first land on one of these videos with the creator opening by saying, “I’m about to throw a fit”, naturally, they lock in, ready to hear the gossip.

But plot twist, they’re just throwing down a jaw-dropping look!

This is an ideal trend for a fashion or beauty brand to get involved with. Identify an influencer that aligns with your style, or select one of your long-term ambassadors, and send them the brief…

We're not targeting Gen Z anymore…

Lohause, the sunglasses and eyewear brand, hasn’t followed the crowd in adapting its entire marketing strategy to reach Gen Z in the short-form content era.

The brand is pushing out a cinematic series on their social channels where each video is an episode with stunning visuals that doesn’t position the product as the primary focus – it just fits naturally into the story.

The main character in the series is a stylish senior gentleman, and it just makes sense. As marketing commentary creator @coldestjoe put it, aspiration ≠ celebrities.

Creating a strong narrative around one character that fits the luxurious brand style with a serial appeal that grips the audience and encourages them to come back for more is an excellent example of turning brand awareness into trust, and then into conversion.

The rule of 7 in marketing tells us that a consumer has to be exposed to a product or an ad 7 times before they make a purchase, and Lohause has mastered the art of consistent exposure to their target audience.
